Greetings from new member!

Hi all! Just discovered this site a few days ago and decided to join. Sandy and I and the kids, Karen 9, Jeff 8, visited the RV Supershow in Cleveland a few weeks age "just to look". No intentions of buying as our current rig is only 2 years old. As often happens, we found something we fell in love with and is near our price range. Has anyone seen the '03 Mountaineer 318BHS fifth wheel? The unit at the show is #5 off the production line and all 5 are show units. I am trying to get more info on this model to properly size the tow vehicle, but little if any data is published. All I know so far is it is 34.4', 12,060GVWR and 1900LBS pin weight. The dealer has not forwarded complete specs nor has Keystone returned my email requesting data, so I am trying to wait patiently. Looks like I will probably need a 1 ton DRW truck. Hoping to end up with a margin of capacity in reserve this time as my past rigs have all been at the limit. I look forward to your input through this forum as we move towards making our purchase. The GMC duramax/allison or the new Ford 6.0PSD/Auto CC are likely candidates. I prefer GM products, but the new Ford powertrain is tempting. I'll keep in touch as we move forward. We have covered the eastern half of the country so far and are looking to make a few western trips in the near future now that the kids are at the age where they will appreciate it.

Former tent camper, Coleman Casa Grande & GMC Jimmy. Current rig: 32' Rockwood TT 8298S & Gladiator Hi Top Van.
Moving up to '03 Montana Mountaineer 318BHS and GM or Ford Diesel P/U.
