Hello, I finally got the cover off of my AC unit and cleaned out all of the white cotton. I also found that there is a red wire that was laying loose and not connected to anything. I tried to route it to different parts of the unit to see where it could attach to but was unsuccessful.
I have attached pictures as well. Does anyone know what this wire may be used for?
