I'm curious about what kind of mileage was on your truck as well. I had a Superchips 1705 tuner, left it on tow-safe, and had no issue for 7 years till I tried out a Thoroughbred 6 position tuner which I've been running with no issue for the past 2 years. Your tranny rebuild undoubtedly had a new torque converter installed along with the rebuild ... the converter may not have exactly the same stall speed as your old one thus a decrease in fuel mileage. Just throwing out that possibility.
