Total mileage is 90,000. I did get the transmission hot (according to the ford guage) twice. But that was 10,000 miles before it went out. I have installed an additional cooler.
My current line of thinking is
1. re-program with the chip
2. keep my foot out of it
3. change the transmission fluid any time it over-heats
4. """"""""""""""""""""""""""""" at 30,000 mile intervals
5. change my lifestyle, giving up wild women and drinking, and start praying a lot
There is a 3 year 100000 mile warranty on the new transmission, but I would think using a chip would void that.
