We keep a small humidifier (Windchaser brand that we purchased at Wal-Mart) in the rig for use when needed. The only time we have found that it is needed is when the outside temperature is cooler than the rig's inside temperature. Here is a link to the manufacturer of the one we use, an internet search should find the lowest price if you are interested. As for performance, we have removed a cup a day of moisture from the rig and prevented condensation on the windows by using this unit. In other words, we like it, we use it, and it stays in the rig on a permanent basis.

Hope this helps.
