First its probably the Thetford you are talking about. A trick i used on mine is to clean the seal then fill the bowl with very hot water let it sit, then clean the seal again and add silicone grease to the seal and press the flusher a few times and see if that works. I had to do this twice and now my bowl holds water with out any problem.
