The brake wire (from harness) must connect to one of the wires of all four brakes. The other wire of all four brakes must connect to ground.
So effectively one side of all brakes are connected together and to the brake power source. And the other wire of all brakes are effectively connected together by connecting them individually to ground. This way a broken wire at one brake does not affect the other brakes.
