Ok, what I should have said was the conductors are rated for 30A as opposed to 50A (60A total versus 100A total). It's still a smaller conductor than the 50A cord which will result in more voltage drop, right? Whether it would ever be enough to make a difference, I don't know. But as was said earlier, connected to 50A breaker, the conductor is now a long fuse.
