There is an MOC member named Dave Anderson that has a Porta bote and the mount is on the left side of his Montana. Not sure how he has the brackets mounted. He would be very anxious to assist you but his visits to the forum are very infrequent. You may want to send him a Private Message or Email. Weighing in at over 300 pounds I was very interested to know if it would carry my weight. Dave felt it would not be a problem. He said he loved his and uses it quite often.
