Waco, welcome to the forum. We have seen this wood replacement on at least three rigs and it is very nice. The weight does not seem to be a problem. One person had a problem because he had a screw that was hanging down so that when he closed the slide, it scratched the wood. Otherwise it seems that people are very happy with this improvement. All the jobs that I saw only replaced the main part of the floor and left the carpet on the slides. We're considering this improvement for our Monty in the future.
