Funny how you know exactly how much $$$ I lost. You know what they say about ASSuMING. Tax difference less than $700 and pd 10k (2015 vs 2016 sticker difference was 9k) in total difference including going from a gasser (with 25k miles) to a Duramax (with 100 miles and a 100k powertrain warranty). Only option I lost was heated steering wheel.
Also the rear axle ratings are different on 2500 and 3500 (850 pounds to be exact). You can read the manuals if you like. Regarding the airbags it is about $400 and an hour or two of work (not a big deal if necessary).
