How do you ground your equipment while parked for short term?
Birdie,
I run a separate battery for my ham equipment. Antenna wise I use a counter poise type ground.
My long wire goes in the trees and the counter poise is layed on the ground or warped under the trailer on the ground.
My Tarheel Screwdriver antenna is mounted on pvc to the ladder. They (Tarheel) suggested using 3/4 inch or 1 inch grounding strap and frame the ladder with it getting as much strap out there as possible. I did that in a loop and then ran it to the frame. Not sure the frame is helping that much but better than not. The loop ground plane or counter poise works on all bands but one. I think it was 17 mtr.
I hope this helps. Safe travels.
