As others have said, you can use the battery. If your battery is not strong enough, there is another option. Connect the trailer's umbilical cord to the truck's connection. The engine will need to be running in the truck but that will provide 12v power to move the slides. We did this when our coach battery failed (actually, it lost its ground) when we were getting ready to leave a site.
