Does the Satellite plug behind the TV work on Satellite? If you haven't tried that, maybe they wired or marked the wall outlets backwards. And on older units they had a sort of 1 foot jumper coax that went from the wall to another jack on the wall. Sometimes those were hooked up wrong too.
