Our previous SOB came with slide locks. They were designed in such a way that if you moved the slide out while they were still in place they would bend & break before anything else did. They appeared to be nothing more than an aluminum drapery rod with a rubber tip on each end.
I think I probably broke them both within a couple of months and didn't replace them. Never had a problem with slides moving on their own without them.
