I have the 285s now at 3840# per tire. I'm upsizing here shortly when the current set wears out to get the extra capacity. My truck is paid for and I have no desire to get a DRW truck anytime soon and start over with the payments. Would it be nice, yes and no.
I have a 1995 dodge 2500 with a manual 5 speed.
They come with a Dana 80 rear axle. SRW,With over load and airbags. My tire are 34”. That’s the biggest I can run. My tire are rated 3195 pounds
18” rims. I would consider buying different size rims and tires just don’t know which ones for the best weight ? Just weighed my truck with out trailer.
3640 pounds with 40 gallons fuel tank and toolbox
Leaves me about 2740 box weight.
Your thoughts on a 18” tire that will get me around 3800 or more.
Are truck has been heavy modified cummins
Not going to upgrade. We are not living in it just a few months here and there. Thanks Rich
