I agree with what was previously stated on the addition of substantial wood for your screws to hold. Also if you look into the vents they are usually full of sawdust and the vent ductwork might be collapsed. I took out lots of sawdust and still need to brace the ductwork. It is also interesting to see what a crappy job they did with the router when cutting out the ceiling for the return vent cover. One is bad and the other is terrible, not even close to a rectangle hole. My filters did not look like they were washable as they were a whitish color and the screws seemed to snag and distort them.
