I picked up the new camper last week, Montana 381th. With 6 tires on the RV I thought it would be a good idea to install a TPMS to monitor tire pressure/temperature. Left town for the 300 mile trip home. Shortly down the road I got a low pressure alarm from one of the valve stems. The tires were to have been inflated to 80psi cold but one of the tires was actually at 61psi. I found a place a short distance down the road to add air to the tire, while on the road with the low tire pressure I was able to monitor the tire pressure and temperature. The temperature of the tire did not climb so I felt it was safe to continue to the stop for air. Additionally, the last 90 miles on the road I had a pretty good cross wind. It was interesting to see the downwind side of the RV had tire pressures 8 to 10 degrees F higher than the wind side of the RV. The trip home assured me it was worth while to get the TPMS for the RV!
