It was 69 years ago. Within the lifetime of many of us but history class and grainy black and white film to most of us. I was 4 years old. My Uncle Fred was there.Note that there are only about 120 survivors left of that day. They were the great generation that did and saw things unimaginable then came home and never talked about it. Everything passes into history but will not be forgotten.
