Our 2012 F250 has no problem with our 06 Monty. We did change our 26 gallon diesel for an internal 50 gallon tank and then got the Ford dealer to update the truck software for the 50 gallon option that is already in the software. We really like the range with 50 gallon and the bed does not have a fuel tank in it! Also put on Jimmy Jammers on the tail gate--makes it so that crooks cannot remove the tail gate--and added screws to the tail lights that require a special screw driver to remove the lights. Why do this--if you search the MOC site you will find a fellow MOCer who had his tailgate stolen along with the tail lights--the truck was in his driveway at home when it happened.
Next issue will be DEF--don't get it at the Ford dealer--they have it--usually about $20/gal. Auto parts stores are about $12 for 2.5 gallons, truck stops are about $3.70 per gallon. While towing I estimate to burn about 1 gallon of DEF for every 700 miles--no towing about 1 gallon every 1000 miles. But best of all--it is still a great truck!
