Thanks, and the prize is??????????

I'll let you in on a bit of history. We started fullitmming winter of 2000. Our first summer job as workampers was @ Mt. Rushmore.

Being "seniors" we got the early shift. 7AM-3PM. Every day I walked from the gift shop to the end of the walk way thru the "avenue of flags". Some mornings the fog was so thick you could not see 20' in front of you. Some mornings there were mountain goats in the grass close to the walkways, but you could never get closer than about 10' to them.

We gave pictures of the heads to the tourists on tour buses from all over the world. We felt so bad they had traveled so far and not to be able to see what they came for.

If you are looking for a great workamping experience, scenery to die for, stay till first of October and drive Spearfish Canyon. Don't miss the bar and mall in Rochford.

Jim
