If you’re going to be stupid!

If you’re going to be stupid you need a lot of money or be handy with tools.

This is the damage not the stupid part.

The stupid part was trying to hookup with the tail gate on the truck without help!

Trying to order a door from Keystone is like trying to book a flight to the moon.

The beginning of the handy part.

;

First you have to drill this rivet out of the hinge and remove the door.

Then drill the rivets out of the joint at the bottom of the door this one has all ready been drilled and replace with screws.

Remove the latches.

Then spread the frame enough to remove the door panel pictured here on the plywood I marked for future replacement.

I just turned the door panel around backwards so the inside was out. Notice the “P” marked in red. This stands for passenger side of the trailer to keep from putting the door panel in the door frame wrong

Install the door and put a screw in place of the rivet you drilled to get the door off.

The plywood is a ½ sheet of ¾ plywood wood with a cabinet finished on one side. I will seal it and paint it with a white paint that matches (I hope) the rest of the trailer and put it in place of the damaged panel sometime in the future.

For now this should keep most of the rain out.
