These units are designed with brackets mount the unit far enough away from the RV to prevent damage. My brother-in-law has had two SOBs with this option and had no problems with it. I highly recommend a quick connect be installed for ease of hookup.

Things to be concerned about: watch out for the awning above it; mounting too close to the RV door makes for great convenience but plan for smoke entering the rig depending on where it's located especially on windy days; make sure it does not block other doors; cooking surface will be small to minimize flaming dangers but so are many other "table top" BBQs.
