I talked to the dealer yesterday.....they said some trailers come with the locking ring & some don't. Also, they told me to bring in the cord & exchange it with the one from my Mountaineer which has the locking ring.
But after reading all the replies here, I really don't know what to do. It is actually easier to use the one without the locking ring.
Oh well.................
