With my seasonal position over it was time to head south, spending the Holidays with our family in California then on to Arizona. After sitting in Washington for 6 months it was a slow process getting on the road yesterday, had to remember how to do it but we made it. Great trip until we were 20 miles from our first nights stop at Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton, Oregon.
As we were looking forward to a relaxing night I saw sparks and shredded rubber coming from under the Monty. Yes, we lost a tire as well as the fender skirt. Luckily the spare was aired up and in good shape. After a call for road service and a 45 minute wait we were on our way again. We decided to spend an extra day here, get a new tire, if the rim is still good, and continue on down HWY 395 tomorrow.
