Our JT's help eliminate the wind sway a lot. As for the wind flapping the slide toppers we now use a piece of 1 inch nylon webbing either weighted or lightly bungeed down. You don't need a lot of tension on it, it just needs to dampen the flap. I only use one on the large topper. I haven't needed them on the smaller slides... Dave and Betsy
