What is this rod?, and is it "out of adjustment" ?

I am a new member here and this is my first attempt to post pics, so I hope this works.

OK, so I just purchased a 2007 Montana 3600RE , for the purpose of living in it. I was looking over the rig at the sellers house and noticed this rod on the left rear slide. This is my first rig with Slideouts, so I am just beginning to learn about how it all works... and I have a few questions.

1- I'm assuming this rod is a hydraulic cylinder piston (?), for actuating the slide ? Is this correct ?
2- and if this is correct, ... then why do none of the other 3 slides have this rod ?
3- is this rod adjusted correctly with the gap as shown ?
or has it worked its way loose ?

I am hoping to get the rig moved to the 55+ community I will be living in next weekend.
(I dont have a truck to move it yet so I am looking around for a RV mover that can do this)
There are a few minor maintenance issues that it will need, and I am just trying to get all my ducks in a row, and take care of anything before they turn into possibly bigger issues.

Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers !
