We never drink the water from the water tank. I put about 4 or 5 gallons in the fresh water tank. Turn pump on till it comes out of every faucet and sure to get into p - traps. So if we take a trip in the winter we stay with full hookups. When I get home, I run the antifreeze thrift again. If you have a connection use 2 gallons. If you use air about 1/2 gallon for drains. I leave all the faucets on when finished. So when the freeze hits if there is water in the line it can expand and not bust the pipes.
