Welcome to the forum! On my unit the water pump is directly behind the convienence center. I go in the basement and take the screws that hold the plastic sheeting that functions as a wall there and the pump is right there. We installed a quiter pump, a different hose that was supposed to suppress the hamering and a pad under the pump. It made some difference, but not enough to be considered worth it. The pump, however, gives us better water pressure so it was worth the change out.
