I thought Michelins were the BEST. More $$ than all the others but worth it. Until 9/6/20 when my factory installed 60k mile Michelins with 42k on them EXPLODED!. The drivers side rear tire blew up, tire tread separated from tire causing $ 7K plus worth of damage to that side of the truck. I was towing my utility box trailer which was basically empty. A double axle 14' wells cargo trailer. The tire destroyed the beds outside panel ,bumper, scratched tail gate, wire harness for the 5er, plus miscellaneous bracing, inner wall supports, etc.
I was driving to pick up my 5er to head out on a 10 dat trip to the Black Hills. I am so glad this did not happen 3 days later when we were supposed to leave for that trip.
