Calgon is a water softner that neutralizes the hard minerals in the water witch makes it easer to remove soap, It has no chlorine or no phosphorus It can be used in the clothes washer or the bath water. I am sure most will remember the old calgon ads on TV. Now they put all kinds of smell sweet and other stuff in it for the bath water and charge more.
