I screwed right into the paneling. Carefully, the screws will start to grab and you will feel it as they go in. go until they are good and tight and stop, dont over tighten. fill with colored putty and never worry about them again.... 2 cross country trips sense no issues.... haven't even thought about it till this thread came back up LOL.
