If you know for a fact that water entered the roof through tares in the EPDM, I would be VERY concerned that a lot of moisture is still present and trapped within the attic space. This could continue to cause issues with mold, mildew, and wood rot within the roof and walls. Not sure what I would do in that case, but I would at least try to open up anything possible into that area and blow air/ heat into the attic in an attempt to dry it out.
