I understand that Keystone/Dexter need to print a CYA in their owner's manual to prevent owners from jacking on the axle mid span. What I don't understand is why they don't say that jacking at the U-bolts wont be a non destructive way.
I cannot envision trying to jack a trailer alongside, i.e. I-95 at 5:00PM near Richmond using a frame point or even the leveling system (which ours does not have). That U-bolt area is designed to carry a significant load, both static and dynamic. Jacking it at the U-bolts will never match the dynamic loads placed at that point and normal travel on our "shovel ready" highways.
