2014 Don Moore Memorial Rally at Lake Siskiyou
Fishin' Fools Derby
We had the first Fishing Derby at Lake Siskiyou several years ago and it was quite successful.
People who hadn’t fished in 15-20 years brought fishing gear and had a great time.
There were over 70 fish caught!
The Fishing Shack at the lake sells short-term fishing licenses.
I’ll check and get all the info and post it here soon.
Fish all you want. We'll have an official weigh-in of fish caught from:
7am on 5/24 to 4pm on 5/25.
LONGEST fish wins a prize!
And I have to tell you that Lydia Murphy and Liv Vizcarra will be stiff competitors to beat!
A cleaning party will take place right after the weigh-in and then a production line to wrap the fish in foil with butter and lemon.
Any rally participant would be welcome to get some of the packets and take them back to their camp and cook however they see fit.
'Eat-Along Dinners' are encouraged: Whether you are sharing food or just getting together with others with your own meals and eating at the same campsite.
