I bought a Garmin 465T truckers GPS and found it does route you differently between truck and car mode. (you enter your rigs specs in the truck mode)
Like all other brands of GPS, IMHO it's just inaccurate enough at times not to be 100% reliable, although I will say we've never had serious problem in truckers mode, i.e. too low a bridge or other trucking hazards.
