We go up to Northern Minn. every fall; we do not fish but enjoy staying in the campgrounds and biking on the bike trails. There are alot of campgrounds around the Brainerd area and Nisswa which is just north of Brainerd. There is Sullivan's Campground, Galles Upper Cullen, Fritz's Campground plus others. These are all located on lakes. Sullivans is on NOrth Long Lake which is a larger lake. Galles Upper Cullen is on the Upper Cullen which is smaller than North Long Lake and I am not sure of the lakes name for Fritz's. Nisswa is a very neat little town with lots of shops. The Paul Bunyun Bike Trial goes from Brainerd the whole way up to Hackensack and on further north to join up with I think it is the Heartland. This is a beautiful area of the state, of course we are partial because we live in Minn.! I would call ahead to a campground because this is a busy time of year for them.
