I live in Albuquerque because we have a business here. All our kids/grand kids live in CA (Orange County, Santa Barbara and near Sacramento). We are about to sell the business. DW, of course, wants to be reasonably close to the kids. I hate everything about CA except the weather. Most of all I don't want to go broke paying the high taxes of the rapidly deteriorating economy there. DW feels the need to have a home base. Need some wise advice on how to mitigate this problem.
