Convection ovens use heated air and force it around the food by a fan. (basically)
A Microwave item is as the term implies. It uses microwaves, usualy from a magnetron,(or Traveling Wave Tube,TWT))
It is my understanding that the "Half Time Oven," is a combination of the two. When employing Half Time Oven cooking you use the Convection half of the cook time and the microwave the other half of the cook time.
