First of all let me state that I hope this vet is shown some leniency and that common sense may prevail depending on the situation of course. It usually does unless there is a criminal content to it.
For Canadians going south we almost have to make a science out of understanding the do's and do not's when crossing in to your country and planning on for extended stays. It should be no different for Americans coming our way.
In this case it highlights what I consider to be one of the most glaring differences between our countries, that being the gun laws that all need to be aware of.
I must admit most Canadians have trouble wrapping their heads around traveling with a gun, but hey, we understand it's your country not ours and no, we don't live in fear of being invaded.
