Another Thought
We have 18 wheeler get stuck under bridges often here in Vermont. To free them up often times they take air out of the trailer tires. Then when on the other side they re inflate the tires. Could take 4 inches or so off the height of the trailer. You would have to have a way to re-inflate the tires once you cleared the bridge.
