I have 2- 6 volt batteries and would be going to 4 if I dry camped more so as to have more amps. 12 volts is 12 volts but more amps is always better when dry camping especially when you are using your furnace. As far as weight is concerned, I wouldn't worry about another 120 pounds even though it all adds up. There is no way to perfectly balance your rv. I'm sure the manufacture wasn't worried about balanced weight when installing washers and dryers as they most always are on the passenger side. If you weighed your RV on the highway you probably wouldn't have that much difference in weight on account the crown of the road shifts more weight to the passenger side even though most RV's are heavier on the drivers side.
