I once worked with a guy who was notoriously frugal, to the point of being downright cheap. He had a habit of buying gifts for his wife, for gift giving events, that they both want rather than something she particularly wanted. After a number of years she caught on. For Christmas he got her this deluxe 35mm camera. So, she declared that this gift is HERS and he's not using it. Period. I can't understand why he was so upset.
