We had the same problem on our 3810MS. The rotating item that rohrmann mentions above was the problem. I removed the fireplace and unplugged it from the outlet then removed the back panel. I found that the rotating item was rubbing on its mount. It was slightly out of round which cause it to chirp every few seconds I was able to adjust it, the noise is gone.
Easy fix.
