I use the covers. As I inspect things if the covers start showing signs of wear and decay, I can only imagine they saved the tires from that damage. So far so good and while the outsides of the tires look fantastic that doesn't mean tire rot is not occurring inside. I do have Marathons and will baby them as much as possible since the rig mostly sits in my driveway.
