We've done it both ways. However, my thoughts go back to how old is/are the tire(s)? We have gone to all the trouble to put down place mats and pull the rig over them, then cover the wheels with wheel covers, yet we change our tires every four years. When we change them we see no abnormal wear or sidewall cracking. Lonnie Bussey of Tire Country, Farwell, TX should be able to answer any questions about the validity of tires versus concrete. He's one of many experts that I rely on. I remember when Glen Adams was still alive and contributing to this forum and his expertise was pretty much along the lines that Lonnie follows. Personally, I think it's a waste of time and effort to go to all the trouble of putting something under the tires and on the tires; much like the time and effort used to inflate and deflate air bags every time you move.
