I would say it depends on how your new unit is setup. If it has the auto leveling it might not need anything. If you have to level by using leveling blocks under the wheels then I would get the actual ratchet style devices that fit between your tires. I have the auto level but sometimes still use them. In my old unit without auto level I used them and I also had a two leg stabilizer under the fifth-wheel. It made a big difference on the side to side wobble and the devices between the tires helped with forward backwards motion. I also have some rubber chocks for when I am hooking up and unhooking from my TV. I am sure you will get quite a bit of info on your questions.
