If you look at the skid marks he left going into that corner, first he was going way too fast and second, it looked like he skidded into that ditch probably trying to avoid a car coming the other way around that corner. Could have made the corner if he had waited till it was clear and used both lanes. Sorry, past LEO experience coming out. Trying to diagnose accidents from the skid marks.
