When we did our original upgrade from the Goodyear Marabombs, the Sailuns weren't available, so went with the Goodyear G614's, which were available if you ordered the rig that year. Not only did I have the four on the ground replaced, but also had the one on the spare rim replaced with a G614. Didn't want to risk a failure of a cheap spare in the remote possible need to have to use the spare if a tire went flat. Finally had the Sailuns installed last year due to wear caused by a bearing failure several years earlier. At bit over $2,000 for the five G614's in 2013, but was well worth it having serious tires on the rig. Glad your damage wasn't more serious than it could have been.
