I have become confused many times wondering whether the battery disconnect should be on or off. Sounds simplistic, but I always have to try one of the lights in the convenience center or basement to make sure that the batteries are actually in disconnect mode. So, in summary, should it be on or should it be off, heck if I can remember, that is why I just switch it until the light goes off!!
Bingo
Bingo,

Disconnect just stop power to main DC bus. Landing gear and Remote operations (power to circuit board), are on there own breakers, before the disconnect. The circuit board always pulls a little power when waiting for commands. If I were going to leave my Monty for a long period of time, I would remove the battery, and put it on a battery minder. Solar is another option to keep the batteries charged.
